Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody…

Look in the bathroom mirror and say her name three times and she will appear.  Or is it seven times? Or Thirteen? Like many urban legends, the one of Bloody Mary isn’t always clear.  She might come and kill you if she appears, or drag you into the mirror, or scare you or maybe tell you your future.  It all depends on where you live, who you hear the story from, and maybe even how much teenage girls at a slumber party want to scare each other.

Mirrors have many legends surrounding them, something we’ll surely explore at a later date, but for this one we talked all about Mary and who she might be, where this may have started and just how brave you have to be to stand in that dark room, with a flashlight, stare into the mirror and say her name.
